You might think it’s not that hard to get a job.
But how hard can it really be?
The first job you need to get your foot in the door is a full-time position, says Jaden Mcneil of JADM, a Job Fair in Brooklyn.
The Job Fair is held annually at The Bowery.
The job fair was founded by the JADm family in 2013 to bring jobs to young people.
If you want to get on the right track, start small.
You can start by getting a job search and interview with the best employers, Mcneiels advice says.
If you have a high school diploma or a GED, you can get a part-time job, Mcanneels says.
“I would suggest you go with someone that you know and that you really enjoy working with, like an intern or a temp,” he says.
“You should not look for full-scale job offers.”
“When you go to the job fair, you are given a list of what you need in order to get ahead,” Mcneill says.
He suggests starting with a job interview.
“They should have some kind of resume that you can use, but not all of them have it.”
Mcneil says the Job Fair doesn’t focus on career or networking, but rather on finding a job, so you can actually find a job with the right fit.
“You have to be willing to be part of a team, and if you don’t have that, you might not be able to find the right one,” he adds.
“I do not think you can go to Job Fair and go ‘I’m an engineer, I’m a computer programmer, I love to work with people, and I love doing projects,’ ” Mcneils says.
“It’s a lot of work to find a full time job.”
The JADs Job Fair, a free event held each year at The Brooklyn Bower, is a great way to find jobs, says Mcneila.
You just need to start small and work on the resume.
