By Football Italy staff The Giallorossi have already signed Juventus striker Andrea Barzagli and midfielder Leonardo Bonucci.
Now they are poised to make a bid for Juventus’ Juventus player of the year, Jaded Thomas.
It’s believed that the Serie A club have been working towards a move for the former Sampdoria player.
However, Roma have already confirmed they have made a formal bid to the Bianconeri and will make the move official in the coming days.
“I have already received an offer from Roma for Juventus player Andrea Barzali, the player of Roma,” Roma sporting director Domenico Ghannone said.
“I have not received any offers for Jaded.
I have told the president that this is the case and I will decide this question in due course.
This is the first step towards a transfer for Andrea Barzyli.”
“Roma are in the market for Andrea as they did for Bonucci, but this is an extremely high-risk transfer for the Giallorate.
It would be extremely difficult for Jamed to join Roma.”
Roma sporting executive Giovanni Boccara said that the club have already offered a €5 million transfer fee.
He also confirmed that they have contacted former Inter midfielder Alessandro Nesta to offer him the position of sporting director.
It would be a big loss for Jied to leave Roma but it would be worth it for the club.
Jaded Thomas is a former SampDoria player and is considered one of the best young players in Serie A. He has also scored four goals in nine Serie A games this season.
