Jade Augustus, one of the best-known stars in the country, has died aged 73.
She died in hospital at the weekend after a lengthy illness.
She was a popular figure in her hometown of Melbourne, and in the state’s capital of Canberra, where she was born.
She appeared in several Australian films, including the hit ABC soap, The Adventures of Pete and Pete.
Jade was also a television presenter, and starred in her own reality show, Jade O’Neill.
She had her own sitcom, Jade’s Place, and was an advocate for mental health.
In 2012, she wrote a book about her own mental health, titled The Life of Jade.
She and her partner had two sons, Jada and Jade.
“This is truly the worst-ever thing I have ever seen,” Jade’s mother, Joanne, said.
“I can’t believe it.
She loved the people she met and the stories she told. “
She was always so happy.
“But she was also very self-destructive and she had a habit of telling everyone she had hurt that she had lost the will to live. “
“There were times I just thought: ‘I have to make it stop.'” “
Jade’s illness started when she was 17, and had lasted for about a year before she was admitted to hospital with pneumonia and an infection. “
