A Florida woman who allegedly had sex with an unconscious man during a three-week vacation with a roommate has been found unconscious and with severe brain damage.
The Palm Beach Post reports that the 32-year-old woman, identified by the paper as Jade buffet, went missing on June 17 after her roommate, 24-year old Jake Jagger, allegedly assaulted her and raped her.
She was found unconscious at a home in Palm Beach, Florida, by a relative on Tuesday afternoon, and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
According to the Post, Jagger is charged with one count of rape, three counts of forcible rape, one count each of unlawful sexual contact, forced oral copulation and lewd or lascivious conduct.
She is also accused of sexually assaulting another woman in the home, but the alleged victim has not been identified.
The Post reported that the two women have since been married.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest on Monday.
According, a detective with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s office told CBS affiliate WPLG that the woman had been dating Jagger since July 17, and the two had been staying at the Palm Hills mansion together for three weeks.
She went to Jagger’s home on June 18 and they had sex.
The woman told investigators she told Jagger she was a virgin, and he asked her to keep the secret.
She then told him she didn’t want to have sex with him anymore.
She told investigators he took her to a bedroom and she was assaulted.
The woman told detectives she tried to tell her boyfriend, who she believes was at home at the time, but he did not listen, according to the report.
The Post reports she told investigators that Jagger later told her he was having an affair and that he didn’t remember having sex with her.
The two then returned to their home together, and Jagger reportedly forced her to perform oral sex on him.
After her alleged ordeal, the woman told police she texted her mother and texted her sister to let them know about the alleged rape, according the Post.
She told authorities she woke up on June 20 at home and realized Jagger was at her bedroom and the man was asleep.
Jagger told investigators the woman was screaming for help and said she was unconscious, and they could not find her in the bathroom.
She said she could not breathe and that she fell to the floor and Jagan stabbed her.
The women told investigators Jagger then called her boyfriend who told her to call police, according WPLg.
Jagger also told investigators they had tried to contact her but that she was not answering their phone calls.
The victim said she did not want to press charges, but she was reluctant to talk to police.
She said she went to police the next day and requested an ambulance, according CBS News.
Jasper, who was released from the Palm Springs jail after posting $500 bond, was arrested at his home on Monday, according The Palm Beaches Post.
Jagan was released a few hours later.
The case was investigated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff Office, the Palm Bay County Sheriff, the Department of Law Enforcement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and The Department of Juvenile Justice.
